Among the benefits of starting a Tumblr just for drunkblogging and gratuitous swearing
there’s the benefit of being able to absolutely speak your mind, and with that comes the right to get a little sappy once in a while.
I just wanted to say that I’m incredibly blessed to have so many healthy, high-functioning relationships. I had an incredible conversation with an ex last night, and it’s pretty amazing how cool we are with each other, considering how close we were. Not many people get what we get; the ability to fall in love with someone, out of love with someone, but then be able to keep that person in your life. When you’re falling in love (or whatever it actually is) you’re building something huge, and not many people get to keep it - most people feel better tearing it down.
I don’t know - I think that conversation is going to something I cherish for a while, the two of us just sitting outside in the dark, smoking cigarettes and being brutally honest with each other, and deciding that if we’re getting married if we’re both still single at thirty-five.
